What we tested
We loaded the sliding compartments with treats and kibble and watched how Remy worked through it, same as we'd judge any puzzle toy: does he engage right away, how long does it hold his attention, and does it actually slow him down.
What worked
Remy went straight for it with zero coaxing. The adjustable sliding compartments are a nice touch if you've got a dog who's newer to puzzle toys and needs an easier starting point. No durability issues so far, the compartments still slide smoothly.
What did not work
It's just too easy for him. He cleared it almost as fast as eating out of a regular bowl, so as a mental enrichment tool for a dog who's already puzzle-savvy, it doesn't really slow him down or make him think much.
Remy's take
He wasn't bothered by the lack of challenge, he just wanted the treats and got them. Didn't really register as a "puzzle" to him.
Worth buying?
Yes, if your dog is newer to puzzle toys or you want something simple for slow feeding. If your dog already solves puzzles quickly like Remy does, treat this as an easy win rather than a real challenge. The price is low enough that it's a fine pickup either way.
